It’s one thing to plan and launch new products for a market and customer base you know well and that is eagerly anticipating your new offering. What do we need to do differently when starting with a blank slate and no customers at all? Plenty, it turns out. And who better to educate us than a speaker and organization that has seen it from both sides and understands the differences between the two scenarios, startup OpsRamp acquired by tech behemoth Hewlett Packard Enterprises (HPE).

Having worked with a variety of organizations, HPE product management leader Mahesh Ramachandran will share his experience and perspectives on how to conduct product planning when you have no existing customers, whether this involves a B2B or B2C offering.

We’ll learn how to:

  • Identify the core use cases and value propositions defining your product and its identity in the market
  • Validate your use cases with actual users (even if they are not yet customers)
  • Find and acquire early customers
  • Design a pricing structure for your product

Use different approaches for a new product from a new company versus an established company
