Tom will be leading a discussion on the skills necessary to find a job and how to make the job search process enjoyable. He will discuss everything from writing an awesome resume, pro-active networking, company outreach, interviewing like a boss, and negotiating amazing offers. He will also discuss how to be resilient when you don’t get the job. Tom will share personal anecdotes from his own job search journey and answer questions from attendees. Please bring a copy of your resume and be prepared for a fun discussion on the crazy world of the job-search!

Tom Brouchoud, Director, Global Talent Acquisition, Consumer Business Unit, Symantec Corporation
Tom has been working in Talent Acquisition for 20 years. During this time, he has worked at some amazing technology companies such as SanDisk, Visa, and now Symantec. Tom is passionate about recruiting and helping people improve their job search skills (resume writing, interview skills), and providing career coaching. In addition to leading recruiting for Symantec’s Consumer Business Unit, Tom is a frequent speaker & panelist with organizations such as CSIX, ProMatch, and of course, SVPMA. Tom has a BS from UC Berkeley and BFA from the Academy of Art University. He is a bit of a geek, enjoys role-playing and computer games, and also loves musicals. Tom has been married his wife for 19 years and has four children. Tom grew up in Palo Alto and currently lives in Emerald Hills, CA.
